Our goal is to improve the chances of recovery for cancer patients worldwide as a globally leading player in liquid biopsy, with the help of the most modern genetic technologies, cloud-based IT solutions, and decades of molecular biology experience

Expertise, innovation, and commitment
The genetic pattern of tumors is unique for every patient, which is why we have created a system that reveals this uniqueness quickly, reliably, and in a clinically interpretable (relevant) manner. Building on the technological background of Enterprise Group Technologies, we developed the Enterprise Cloud Platform™ and the genoAId™ bioinformatic platforms, which transform complex genomic data into accurate diagnostic information.
In 2023, we transformed into a public limited company and introduced under the brand name genosmartDX (GSDX) the service platform that manages the entire diagnostic process — from sampling to medical report — in a unified digital ecosystem. Thus, our solutions have moved beyond the laboratory environment and have become directly usable, value-creating decision-support tools for patients, physicians, and institutional partners alike.

Our founders are molecular biologists, research physicians, and IT specialists who have been working since the turn of the millennium on uncovering the genetic background of cancer and on developing complex, highly intricate healthcare IT systems. They built their professional knowledge in leading centers such as Houston, Strasbourg, Paris, and Heidelberg, where they dealt with the genetic, clinical, and data processing issues of malignant diseases.

The group was also joined by experts skilled in archaeological genetics, who gained unique experience in the examination of very small amounts of low-quality DNA. This multidisciplinary background created the diagnostic and bioinformatic capacity that is now embodied in European Life Technologies (ELT), with virtually unlimited scalable processing and world-class professional foundations.

We laid our professional foundations after the turn of the millennium, at the dawn of molecular tumor diagnostics, by establishing collaborations that form the backbone of our company's current operations. We recognized that cutting-edge research, practical application opportunities, and the medical professional background can together form a strong alliance.

Our founders and specialists were among the first in the world to focus on the examination of nucleic acids circulating in the blood, where our personal meeting with Dennis Lo, the pioneer of fetal molecular genetic diagnostics, was decisive.

Enterprise Group Technologies, the legal successor of Siemens Enterprise and one of the founders of European Life Technologies, entered the domestic healthcare IT market (HIS) with one of the leading Hungarian-developed hospital information systems (EMMA). This represents unique experience in the fields of critical data security, large-volume healthcare data management, and the development of intuitive, fast, highly complex systems. This period enabled us to deeply understand the language of the medical profession and the real clinical needs for diagnostic decision-support systems.

Market product development started in 2017, when renowned European professional investors and leading Hungarian companies in their fields joined forces to create liquid biopsy solutions such as our BC-Monitor product, which was later introduced to the market. The 1.5 billion HUF European Union grant enabled an R&D infrastructure that is outstanding even by international standards.

By unifying imaging, IT, and molecular diagnostics, we created our comprehensive, future-proof vision. We first presented Enterprise oncoAId™, this innovative framework, to the broad professional audience at the 2019 congress of the Hungarian Hospital Association, designating the new oncological directions of „the hospital of the future.” Already at that time, Enterprise genoAId™ — our bioinformatic platform based on Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAG) using WDL for analyzing next-generation sequencing data — was an integral part of it.

At the end of December, we founded European Life Technologies (ELT) Hungary Kft. for the practical and market exploitation of the results of many years of research and development. With this step, we appeared on the domestic and international markets as a dedicated company covering the full spectrum of solid tumor genetic diagnostics.

Recognizing the growing international market demands and the complex value embedded in our technology, our company was transformed into a public limited company (Zrt.). This structural transformation created the stable legal, organizational, and economic environment necessary for global expansion through the joining of additional professional and financial investors, and provided the opportunity to prepare the company for a stock market presence. In parallel, our genosmartDX™ (GSDX) complex process management system was also introduced, providing a professional user interface and framework for the standardized display of test orders, analyses, and data, as well as for research work.

The conscious building of our presence on the Indonesian market began, and our first major international investors also arrived. In parallel — building on previous successes — the productization and market launch of PC-Alarm, our unique urine-based cancer detection innovation, also started.

With the joining of additional investors, our company's equity already exceeded 4 billion HUF. Our international network of relationships was strengthened by high-level diplomatic visits, thereby supporting our Asian collaborations, including with the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the Dharmais Indonesian National Cancer Center Hospital.

We presented to Mr. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Indonesian Minister of Health, the 'Lighthouse' model envisioned and built by ELT experts, which takes into account the special Indonesian social, cultural, and geographical specifics to the maximum extent, and supports Indonesia's fight against cancer and the faster, more accurate, and more effective recovery of patients through the establishment of a national liquid biopsy center. In connection with the joint scientific project launched in March, the need has already arisen for the longitudinal continuation of the studies and the broad introduction of diagnostic tests into practice as soon as possible.
We are convinced that the true innovation of the 21st century lies not only in science and technology but also in the quality of collaboration. We believe that lasting competitive advantage is determined by corporate culture, by transparent and responsible operation built on trust. We have become not just a diagnostic company, but an organic, self-learning community where scientific precision (Head), deep empathy for patients (Heart), and technological implementation (Hands) form a single unit.
Our organization is evolving toward the Teal operating model, where the traditional hierarchy is gradually being replaced by shared responsibility and self-governance. Trust is a core value for us: we encourage our colleagues to be present in their daily work not only with their expertise but with their whole personality.
The task of our organization and our leaders is to create a safe, supportive environment where, according to the Head–Heart–Hands approach, scientific precision (Head) and human empathy (Heart) appear together in unity with technological excellence (Hand). We do not just provide reports, but control and a chance for a fuller life.
Every colleague is an autonomous expert in their own field, taking personal responsibility for their decisions, while we view the democratization of diagnostics as a shared, evolutionary goal. We believe only in accurate, reproducible, and reliable results, knowing that behind every piece of data stands a human life.

In our leadership and expert team, several decades of experience gained in hospital IT systems and molecular cancer diagnostics are united. Dr. Katalin Priskin (Scientific Director), Lajos Pintér (Chief Operating Officer), and the entire team's more than 17 years of NGS and leadership experience, along with their international publications, provide the scientific credibility of our liquid biopsy procedures.
We carry out our developments in collaboration with academic and clinical partners such as the Biological Research Centre Szeged, HCEMM, Semmelweis University, and the University of Szeged, as well as its Oncotherapy Clinic. Between our Szeged laboratory and our Budapest center, an innovation bridge operates that quickly translates research results into everyday patient care, both at home and on the international market.
Since our launch in 2017, our work has been characterized by consistent, step-by-step building. The 2023 transformation into a public limited company and the planned stock market entry in 2027 send a message to our partners that we are planning for the long term, offering a transparent, stable, and growth-oriented environment.
"We believe in a healthcare future in which the diagnosis of cancer is not a fear-inducing, invasive, and hard-to-access process, but a natural, painless part of everyday health preservation. Our goal is for liquid biopsy to become one of the fundamental pillars of clinical practice by 2030 — not as a privilege, but as a widely accessible standard."
We are shifting the approach to diagnostics from reactive treatment toward proactive prevention. We are building a future where molecular-level signals precede the alterations visible through symptoms or imaging studies by months, the diagnostic burden is reduced to a minimum, and regular, accurate data enables real shared decision-making between doctor and patient.
Our goal is for the detection and follow-up of cancer to become safer, more accurate, and more human-centered than ever before. We treat technology as a tool: we develop it to bring us closer to recovery and to support more conscious, long-term sustainable lifestyles.
"Our mission is to give the best of our knowledge to create lasting value in the world and to open up genetic diagnostics to broad segments of society."
We operate not just as an innovative start-up, but as a company building on an internationally recognized scientific and IT background, realizing the diagnostics of the future in the present. We believe that precision oncological screening cannot remain the privilege of a narrow segment. Just like the diagnostics of other widespread diseases, the early detection of cancer must also become routine, affordable, and easily accessible — for anyone, anywhere in the world.
